We at the Association for International Development SID Israel believe that accessibility is a crucial condition for an equal, just, and prosperous society. Therefore, we emphasize ensuring that all users of our services receive equal treatment. To this end, we have invested significant resources to improve the accessibility of our services, facilities, and website.

The internet is currently the most convenient and accessible source for obtaining information and services. As such, we have worked extensively to make our website accessible.

General

An accessible website allows a person with disabilities to browse with the same level of efficiency and enjoyment as other users, using the capabilities of their operating system and assistive technologies. The site has been tested with the NVDA screen reader software. The accessibility adjustments on our site were made in accordance with Regulation 35 of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments) 2013, and in compliance with the Israeli Standard 5568 to AA level.

Accessibility Adjustments Made to the Site

Our site is built on the Wix platform, so the accessibility features are those provided by Wix.

  • The site is adapted for browsing on smartphones, with vertical and horizontal scrolling to view all information on the screen.

  • The site's code has been adapted for technologies such as screen reader software, and alternative text is provided for images.

  • The site includes a sitemap / search engine for easy information location.

  • The text on the site is clear and readable and can be enlarged as needed using keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl+). Links are clear, and there is contrast between text and background.

  • The site can be navigated using keyboard navigation, with built-in focus indicators to track navigation. Users can skip to content from the top of the page.

  • Document files on the site are accessible.

It's important to note that despite our efforts to make all pages on the site accessible, there may be some pages containing external components beyond our control that are not accessible. There may also be other pages that are not adequately accessible due to technical errors. If you encounter any issues, please contact our accessibility coordinator for resolution.
