Education and academic research are important tools for capacity building for CSOs, private companies and individual stakeholders. SID Israel works with experts in the humanitarian aid field to provide resources for CSOs. We work with Tel Aviv University’s Emergency & Disaster Management program, medical professionals from the Rabin Medical Center: Belison-Hasharon, the National Emergency Authority (RACHEL) and engineers from Microsoft to educate those working in humanitarian relief on the best practices and solutions for emergency situations. In the realm of academia, SID Israel partnered with IDC-Herzliya to launch the Global Impact Studies program that combines international development, entrepreneurship, humanitarian aid, and sustainability. Additionally, we have partnered with various departments within Tel Aviv University, such as Program fro African Studies and the Manna Program for Food Safety and Security. SID-Israel strives to help build the capacity of private sector businesses who seek to enter the developing world and create sustainable economic partnerships. We work with the Israeli government, such as the Ministry of Economy, international development banks, consulting companies and tech platforms to introduce solid business solutions for Israeli companies as well as businesses in the developing world. We accomplish this through a variety of forums and conferences that encompass the Israeli international development ecosystem. At these events, directors of CSOs, international development bank leaders, CEOS of major companies, government officials and members of intergovernmental organizations, as well as experts in academia, are brought together to discuss and learn from one another.
