The Forward Together grant program
Forward Together grant
The Forward Together grant program for 2024 is for SID-Israel member organizations that are invited to apply for a grant of up to NIS 10,000.
Individual members (consultants) can apply for a grant of up to NIS 7000.
This year, again, and out of a desire to help maximize the realization of the organizations' potential, we joined together with the OLAM organization for a joint increased grant: organizations that are members of both SID-Israel and OLAM will be able to apply for extended support for up to an additional NIS 5,000 (part of the OLAM in Motion grant application for 2024).
This joint grant amounts to a maximum of NIS 15,000.
In 2024, the grants will focus on four areas:
-
Resource development
-
Building professional knowledge
-
Building effective measurement processes
-
Building a communication strategy
*Approval of a joint grant by Sid-Israel and OLAM requires the approval of both organizations.
Grant areas:

The grants will be given for consulting hours to create an operational and conceptual infrastructure, manage effective measurement processes, define metrics, and develop data collection tools that will assist in policy formulation and decision-making.
Communication and public opinion
The media arena is the space to introduce ideas and opinions, strengthen processes, and create sympathetic public opinion in favor of social change and promoting policy change.

Among the organizations that received grants in 2023:
"The support we have received has been instrumental in achieving a significant milestone in our organization's journey. The grant was specifically allocated to develop the first-ever certificate program in medical clowning, in collaboration with the Shamir Hospital nursing school. This pioneering initiative was aimed at formalizing the training and integration of medical clowns within healthcare settings, thereby enhancing patient care and supporting the emotional and psychological well-being of patients through humor and compassion.
The grant not only provided the financial resources necessary to launch this unique program but also affirmed the importance of innovative approaches to healthcare, encouraging us to pursue our vision with confidence.
We appreciate SID-Israel and OLAM's commitment to continuous improvement and the impactful support extended to organizations like ours. Thank you once again for your support."

"The support we've received has been transformative. Thanks to the grant we achieved significant milestones, strengthening our organization's capacity through consultations with specialists. This has enhanced our working methods, teamwork, and monitoring and evaluation processes, setting a solid foundation for future growth and impact.
Additionally, funds were allocated to design, translate, and build a new website, enhancing our online presence and outreach. This resulted in a 60% increase in website visits, with positive feedback highlighting the professional and sensitive language of our website.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to SID-Israel and OLAM for their commitment to supporting organizations like ours. Thank you for believing in our vision and empowering us to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve."
Some of the organizations that received grants during 2022 include:
"We're excited to share an exciting update of NALA, made possible through the Forward Together annual grant by SID-Israel, with the aim of supporting organizations to maximize the potential of their activities.
Through the SID-Israel grant, NALA underwent a transformative journey, focusing on enhancing organizational capacity through website optimization. The previous website from 2016 fell short of reflecting NALA’s professionalism. Recognizing the need for a more sophisticated digital presence, the grant addressed key limitations, including the absence of an integrated fundraising platform.
A new, sleek website was developed to resonate with NALA’s evolution to an expert in the sector, ensuring a seamless user experience. The grant facilitated the transition of the website to WordPress, offering enhanced functionality. Moreover, by integrating a fundraising platform, NALA enhanced its ability to engage with current and new donors.
The revamped website garnered positive feedback from stakeholders, with increased interest observed. The integrated fundraising platform facilitated online contributions, resulting in tangible financial support. The grant's impact extends beyond elevating NALA’s profile; it has provided invaluable opportunities for growth."
